Worcester Rent Prices Staying Steady

Worcester Coronavirus

The Worcester Business Journal is reporting that as of this month, “Rent prices in the city of Worcester remained relatively steady from the year prior, rising 1.2% while prices dropped 0.9% throughout Massachusetts.” Despite this, Worcester still remains one of the more affordable large cities nationwide, with a median rent just above the national average. This holds true even when compared to just the state of Massachusetts, where comparable rents can be nearly double outside of the Boston area. This trend is not unique to Worcester however, since national rent prices have followed similar patterns, rising just 0.2% over the last twelve months.
